The first nose is unusually complex for a young wine. Is breeding amphora? Meanwhile we enjoy or rather it will taste as it will have to wait still a little so that the structure relaxes a tad. Learn More

Seduction and fun to taste this wine mesmerizing after young vines of Chenin (20 years old). Round and fat, this wine surprised by the presence of a typical minerality of the slate soils, which provides a perfect balance between freshness and richness of texture. Learn More

Daniel Chotard and his son Simon farm 27 acres of sauvignon blanc in the village of Crezancy, where the soils are a confluence of flint, clay and limestone. They tend to harvest late, creating a riper balance and smoother integration of acidity in this wine. It’s salty and firm, with white pepper spice under the comfortable ripeness, all with an underlying limestone drive of acidity. Learn More

This wine exemplifies the finest expressions of the Sauvignon Blanc grape grown in the Sancerre terroir. This is a blend of 50% grapes grown in clay-limestone soil which gives the wine its richness and power and 50% grapes grown in the stony, calcareous "caillottes" which gives it freshness, vivacity and fruitiness. This is a perfect wine to serve as an aperitif, with seafood, and even with certain cheeses such as the local goat's milk crottin de Chavignol. Learn More

The Bonnet-Huteau family runs their vineyard in order to develop the whole range of flavors of Muscadet Sevre et Maine Haute Expression. This is a fruity and expressive wine, combining supple tones with a wide degree of coolness. Learn More

Intensely rich, and elegantly reflecting the same velvet-coated tannins indigenous to the clay amnd limestone terroir where the black truffle is grown, this exquisitely rustic wine displays opulent flavors of roasted nuts and woodland berries; a true distinction of its heritage as a cabernet franc grape. Savored with a French or ashen-rind goat cheese, beef tenderloin, or with fresly shaven black truffles, it is an exceptional wine to decant and drink now but has the structure to cellar age and relish for later. Unlike in Beaujolais, the wines undergo semi-carbonic maceration which means that the grapes are fermented in sealed tanks but with a small degree of oxygenation. The semi has the advantage of fruitiness and aromatic exuberance, but with more color and structure than pure carbonic maceration. The fermentation starts in a sealed tank and enjoys the effect of fermentation in a CO2 environment but then, at some point, air is introduced via the tap. Learn More
