Dark ruby in the glass, aromas of dark cherries and raspberry mingle with nuances of licorice. Soft and velvety, robust with a voluptuous and full-bodied mouthfeel, the palate unfolds with decadent layers of intense chocolate-covered dark red cherries, and a delicate hint of wild sage.

Candied Bing cherry and fresh hibiscus aromas make this an immediately likable bottling by Jim Nantz and his team, while the star anise, gingerbread and sweet herb aromas add complexity.

The alluring color of honeysuckle, this wine features scents of creamy citrus, calling to mind the meringue on top of lemon squares. The freshness of the nose evokes a walk through the vineyard or the minerality of wet granite encountered on a hike.

This is decidedly not your mother-in-law's "oak-bomb" Chardonnay. It has a creamy mid-palate but it's very modern in style, with a really nice balance of fresh acidity, bright fruit, and toasty biscuit notes. If you love La Crema Chardonnay, 'Intercept' Chardonnay is the one for you!
