This is so perfumed and floral; it just rises out of the glass with crushed berries, strawberries and violets.
Unlike the site specific wines of Terroir Al Limit, Terroir Històric is devoted to expressing the complex character of the whole of Priorat in two colors: white and red. While the project launched in 2015 is a remarkable incubator for new plantings from the clay and schist soils of Montsant, it is also a liquid homage, utilizing the négocient tradition of the past to secure a sustainable future.
Beautiful, opaque, dark cherry red. Concentrated fruit aroma (blueberry), revealing an unmistakable terroir-imparted mineral nuance, with toasted oak and exquisite aging aromas coming through. A serious, intense wine with great depth: dignified, concentrated, and flavorful. An excellent vintage.
This is a Spanish old world wine with new world fruit. This wine has the characteristics of the old world in its woody and terroir based aromas and flavors but is packed with fruit as the new world wines tend to be. This wine is lighter than a big bold Cabernet. This wine should be cellared for at least three years and will pair well with of course Spanish food, but also a good american burger.
This Priorat is created mostly created with Merlot and Syrah grapes. Loads of cherry, leather, and blueberry. Some almonds, plum, and strawberry. A clean wine without oak influence.
