The Boxler family has Swiss roots that go back to the 1600s, when they immigrated to Alsace. I have no idea whether those roots are connected to their being one of the only Alsatian domaines to cultivate this Swiss variety. Usually blended into their Edelzwicker, here is a chance to experience Chasselas pure, Boxler-style. Learn More

This 2013 year a blend of Pinot Blanc, Riesling, and Gewurztraminer, Boxler’s Edelzwicker is a kaleidoscope of the flavors, aromas, and textures of Alsace—presented, of course, in the inimitable house style. Fresh aromas of white flowers, lemon-lime blossoms and lychee. It has mouthwatering acidity, light to medium bodied with wonderful floral notes in the palate. Learn More

The Brand vineyard is most renowned for its Riesling, and Boxler’s combination of granite and Riesling is electric, spicy, and profound. It sends chills up at least one person’s spine: mine. Hold for at least five years before drinking. Learn More

Jean Boxler, many generations removed from his ancestor of the same name that moved here from Switzerland in 1673, currently rules the roost at this humble yet incredibly exciting domaine. Intense and serious about his land, his craft, and his wine, Jean is the genius behind what are certainly some of the finest white wines in Alsace. Learn More

Albert Seltz is situated in the heart of Mittelbergheim (one of the 100 most beautiful villages in France) in the Bas-Rhin of Alsace. Albert Seltz, the 14th generation owner and winemaker, took over from his father in 1980 when he was only 19 years old. Immediately, he reduced the production by two thirds, reduced the yields, and converted to strictly sustainable organic agricultural practices. Learn More
