The aromatics of the 2013 Sonoma Coast Pinot tend towards spice and cherry, and are fairly subtle. On the palate, one would not call this wine a fruit bomb. Its charms are less obvious; a little grip on the finish keeps the wine lively and the flavors are an interesting mix of fruit and savory. Learn More

The 2014 Vintage while certainly the qualitative equal of 2012 and 2013, has a rather different tone. These wines are brooding, intense, elegant and deeply textural. They are wines of meditation and grace and will provide years of growing, fascinating complexity. An incredible reminder of how precious the relationships are, with their own vineyards and the vineyards they source from. Learn More

Fresh flavors of comice pear and honeycrisp apple are followed by a driving minerality on the mid-palate and a lingering finish derived from the vibrant acidity that is unique to the extreme Sonoma Coast appellation. The 2015 Freeman Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir will probably be the most long-lived of the lineup. The wine has plenty of richness, tannin and acidity on the palate to look forward too as well as a long, exciting finish. This wine will be best from 2018-2025.

Red Car Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is a perfect blend of Red Car's most notable, cool-climate vineyards in Fort Ross, Freestone and Occidental. Naturally low in alcohol and high in acidity, the 2012 is a mix of heritage and Dijon clones that were hand-sorted, then fermented with a native yeast in small open tops and aged in French oak barrels (10% new). The wine offers notes of rose petals, orange rinds, and raspberries. Learn More
