Porto Maritavora Tawny

The Maritavora Tawny Port is a blend selected and matured in small oak vats called "pipes." Its aroma combines ripe fruit with dry fruit and cinnamon. Ready to drink forms an excellent accompaniment for less-sweet desserts and it also can be enjoyed on its own, lightly chilled as an aperitif.

Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo), Tinta Barroca, and Tinta Cao. Produced and bottled by Barao de Vilar – Vinhos for Maitavora – Investimentos. Maritavora was founded with the objective to provide an entrepreneurial structure to a family activity that has over 150 years of history and tradition. In the middle of the 19th century, Jose Junqueiro Junior, father of the poet Guerra Junqueiro, acquired a group of farms and properties in the Freixo de Espada-a-Cinta district of Douro, Portugal, most of which are still owned by his direct descendants. At the end of the 19th century, Jose planted an old vineyard with white grape varieties that still remains in production today. The Maritavora Grande Reserva Vinhas Velhas Branco wines originates from this site.
