St. Michael Weinkellerei Spätlese Rheinhessen 2018 is a delightful white wine originating from the Rheinhessen region in Germany. Crafted primarily from the Riesling grape variety, this Spätlese represents a late harvest, resulting in a wine with a touch of sweetness and heightened flavors.
Opici Madeira is a full rich wine with an amber color and a hearty ripe flavor. It is perfectly suited to creating demi-glaze sauces and adds a burst of flavor to brown sauces pork and poultry gravy.
Tasted at the château, the 2005 Chateau d’Yquem delivers a similar performance as last year. Lucid in colour, the bouquet is detailed with very pure honey, vanilla and almond scents, still a little new oak to be fully assimilated but demonstrating superb focus.
The Psagot Prat is a red port wine made from grapes grown in the Judean Hills. The color is a dark purple, with floral notes of dark fruit, chocolate, and rose pedals. The wine is aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, which adds nice vanilla oak flavors to the complex fruit flavors. Tasting notes include blackberry, plum, cranberry, coffee, and chocolate. The oak also smooths over the mouth feel and leaves the wine supple with velvety tannins.
The Late Harvest Oremus is a blend of the four grapes that have been affected by botrytis. It is fermented in the barrels that have just finished the fermentation of the dry wines and consists of a mix of Furmint (about 50%), Hárslevelű, Muscat and Zeta.
The wine that's gone viral on TikTok! XXL Guava Moscato is luxurious and luscious and creates a decadent, ripe guava experience.
This dessert wine from Monsanto is impressive. It is burnt orange colored and opens with a sweet rum cake like bouquet. It is full bodied, slightly sweet, and viscous. The flavor profile is a tasty fig, brown sugar and mild rum blend. I also detected hints of apricot, milk chocolate, and oak that added to its complexity. The finish remains sweet and displays controlled heat for this style of wine. This dessert wine would be a perfect match for pecan pie and a good way to finish off an evening.
