This Rosso was aged for 8 months in 500L French oak barrels and 4 months in the bottle prior to release. Just like our Brunello, our Rosso is made with the same vinification process and incredibly low yields at harvest. Intrigu is only aged in stainless steel for 6 months, followed by 3 months in bottle, which allows for a transparent presentation of the grape. On the nose there are aromas of balsamic, clove, violets, and black pepper. On the palate, the wine is filled with notes of darker black and red fruits, tobacco leaves and a touch of clove. The tannins are gentle and leave a mouth coating finish.
