Sassoregale Sangiovese 2021

Its color is a bright ruby red. On the nose, it is clean and precise, with hints of morello cherries, wild berries and a moderate spiciness. On the palate it reveals a full-bodied, assertive flavor, which expresses both great intensity and elegance. Pair with grilled red meats, but also with matured salt pork products or the traditional sheep’s milk cheeses of Tuscany.

Tenuta Sassoregale is in the Tuscan Maremma. Located in the south of the region, the Maremma’s wild, untouched territory is Italy's new wine frontier. The estate is located among gently sloping hills covered in the medley of vegetation that makes up Mediterranean scrubland. Broom, arbutus, bramble briars, juniper, myrtle and heather grow among cork-oaks, holm oaks, cypresses and pines.
