Paternoster Rotondo 2010
Other Grape | Italy
100% Aglianico. The Rotondo area, in Barile's countryside, has historically been one of the most beautiful areas and places for the growing of the aglianico grape. Here the "Villa Rotondo" estate is located, owned by the Paternoster family.
Very intense purplish-ruby color. Rich bouquet with spices and liquorice hints. On the palate it is juicy, round bodied, and with raspberry and jam reminiscences. A new-style aglianico! Pair with stew, red meat, lamb, or mature cheeses. Serve at 61–64 degrees F in a wide, red-wine goblet.
