A single varietal (100 percent) Tempranillo. Its grapes are from Cenicero. They are destemmed and pressed with new fermentation control technology and long maceration periods.
Grapes from Finca El Monte old vines on hillside terrain. Ripe black fruit, blackberries and plums with spicy notes of premium oak on the nose. Full-bodied, warm and silky wine with great structure. Long and persistent aftertaste.
Bright yellow straw color, with green hints that reflect its youth. Aromas of tropical fruits (pineapple) and citrus fruits first appear along with white fruits (apple) and herbs, such as boxwood and fennel. Dry with an amazing balance of freshness and acidity. Good structure and body given by its fine lees aging. Long finish with a slightly acidic palate, typical of the variety. Pair with white fish, tuna, sushi, seafood rice, paella & pasta.
Bone dry, with white peach, jicama and black radish notes that zip through, cleaning and refreshing the palate as they go.
100% Tempranillo aged 4 months in barrel and 4 months in bottle. The label honors Herminia Casas Madorrán, the wife of an early proprietor and the namesake of the winery.
Clear deep ruby-purple color. Clean and distinguished aromas of black cherries and blueberry jam. These berry jam flavors attack the palate with juiciness getting smoothed out with light vanilla and delicate milk chocolate and roasted java bean. On the palate the wine is dry, full-bodied with firm but ripe velvety tannins and a long finish.
