For over 35 years, the Herzog and Watts families have worked together to grow spectacular Zinfandel in the Mokelumne River region of Lodi. This Zinfandel is crafted from vines up to 80 years old, capturing intense flavors and rich texture. The wine is balanced and not overly sweet, a style modeled after some of the most historic Late Harvest wines of France.
A combination of the sky and the ocean, La Maison Bleue is a perfect symbol of the terroir from which it comes. This cuvée has benefited from the warmth of the South-West sun to develop body and complexity, while at the same time enjoying an oceanic climate which gives it freshness and vivacity.
The Psagot Rose is a blend of red grape varietals. The grapes are harvested from vineyards located in the Northern Jerusalem Mountains at a height of 700 meters. The wine is a nice looking, very salmon colored, almost fading to a touch of brick color.
The 1848 2nd Generation Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 is made at the 1848 Winery founded in 2006 to honor the beginning of modern winemaking in Israel by its parent Zion Winery in 1848.
Each of the select vineyards has contributed its dramatic character that led to the creation of a complete, deep, and harmonic wine. Following 18 months maturation in oak barrels, the final blend is dark and concentrated with raspberry, blueberry, and plum fragrance, as well as roasted oak, coffee, and soil.
Baron Herzog Cabernet Sauvignon is a very approachable wine produced using grapes grown in California's Central Coast region. Each lot of wine was aged separately and all lots were blended before bottling. Displays berry aromas and impressive blackberry and spice flavors.
Goose Bay Pinot Gris is an homage to the great Pinot Gris wines of Alsace, with a distinct New World edge. Sourced from Marlborough, where incredible white wine grapes seem to grow in every nook and cranny, the wine has a brilliant gold color from four months' aging in French oak.
Barkan Reserve Chardonnay is from the Barkan Winery, the second largest in Israel. It was founded in 1990, and its head winemaker is Ed Salzberg. The winery moved to Kibbutz Hulda near Rehovot in 2000.
Our Single Vineyard collection is inspired by the Herzog family's ongoing commitment to sourcing and prospecting new vineyards. The Dry Creek Valley appellation features ancient hills with rocky soil that drains exceptionally well helping to stress the vines late in the growing season, and concentrate the flavors of Cabernet Sauvignon.
This wine is a proprietary blend from the winemakers at Psagot, which means that the grapes will not be revealed but I'm guessing there is either some Syrah or Zinfandel due to the spicy nature of the wine.
Yarden Chardonnay was produced entirely from Chardonnay grapes grown in the Golan Heights. The cool climate, rocky volcanic soil, and high altitude are ideal conditions for growing classic wine grape varieties.
