Herzog Special Alexander Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Wonderful complexity, finesse and depth of flavor, with layers of earthy currant, plum, wild berry, spice and cedar. Long elegant aftertaste. A beautifully streamlined Cabernet, rich in currant and cedar flavors with a streak of herbs and sweet tobacco.
For six generations, the Herzog family produced award-winning, quality wines in their native Czechoslavakia. Since moving to the United States in 1948, that tradition has continued under the seventh and eighth generations, with a commitment to excellence undiminished by time. The winery is named after Philip Herzog who, in his position as exclusive supplier of wines to the Emperor Franz Joseph, was awarded the title of Baron in the late 1800s.
