Quintarelli's Primofiore is, in a word, gorgeous. It represents the estate’s youngest red wine, often referred to as the “first flower” (translation of Primofiore), released after a brief period of aging.
Vetus means forbidden in Latin. The vines are located at an altitude of 810 to 930 m, in the northernmost area of Rueda (Segoría); here the harvest is about 3 weeks later than elsewhere in the DO.
The growing conditions were ideal for producing a great wine, with each plot reaching optimal ripeness during harvest. This wine offers remarkable freshness, rich fruit, and smooth, silky tannins, promising an exceptional drinking experience.

Volnay tends to take on more ethereal qualities with a certain nervosity. That’s certainly apparent in this terroir, which exhibits gorgeous floral aromas and red stone fruits with vibrancy and length.
Golden in color, with a slight ivory hue. The nose opens on citrus aromas, especially lemon and grapefruit, then with airing develops hawthorn and jasmine notes as well as a touch of fresh apricot.
