Château de Pez Saint-Estephe 2017
Blend | France
The growing conditions were ideal for producing a great wine, with each plot reaching optimal ripeness during harvest. This wine offers remarkable freshness, rich fruit, and smooth, silky tannins, promising an exceptional drinking experience.
The estate has passed through various owners and was acquired by Jean-Claude Rouzaud in 1995. Roederer Champagne house, which also owns Pichon Comtesse de Lalande, Chateau Bernadotte, and Chateau Haut Beausejour in St. Estephe, is behind the property. Château de Pez, the oldest Bordeaux winemaking estate in St. Estephe, was established in 1452 by Jean de Briscos and later owned by the Pontac family, who also founded Château Haut Brion. After the French Revolution, the estate became state-owned.
