Brilliant crimson in color, Raeburn Russian River Valley Pinot Noir leads with pleasing aromas of baking spice and vanilla. The 2017 Santenay 1er Cru Le Beaurepaire Rouge is utterly charming, bursting with plummy fruit that's complemented by nuances of pencil lead and rich soil. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with melting tannins, succulent acids and an expansive finish.

Jean Boxler, many generations removed from his ancestor of the same name that moved here from Switzerland in 1673, currently rules the roost at this humble yet incredibly exciting domaine.

A vague fruitiness and a brown-sugary sweetness give this wine a soft, candied profile.

Grivot's 2014 Nuits St Georges 1er Cru les Roncières has a clean, quite pure bouquet with cranberry, bergamot and wild hedgerow aromas, developing rose petal/pressed flower scents with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine line of acidity, fleshy and rounded with a caressing, poised finish that keeps you coming back for another sip.

Our Pinot Noir grapes were destemmed, but not crushed, to retain a significant portion of whole berries for fermentation. After a two-day cold soak, fermentation began giving the wine a breadth and depth of aromas and flavors.

Deep red and blue fruits dance with saline minerals, licorice, crushed flowers, gamey underbrush, and spice in this vibrant, velvety ’11 Morey-St-Denis. Fine-grained, polished tannins coat the cheeks as this wine crosses the palate with a silky, sophisticated feel.
