Trapet Latricieres-Chambertin Grand Cru 2017
Pinot Noir | France
The 2017 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru matures in around 50% new oak has a well-defined bouquet with scents of Earl Grey infusing the dark berry fruit (darker than Rossignol-Trapet’s Premier Crus for example.)
The palate is medium-bodied with gentle grip on the entry slightly tertiary in style with subtle torrefaction notes but well balanced with impressive substance on the finish a tingle of white pepper on the aftertaste. Like many of the domaine’s 2017s this just feels very natural and refined. Excellent.
