A round, creamy Chardonnay with flavors of lemon, cinnamon and oak. The nose has subtle aromas of apple, pineapple and butterscotch. Bright acidity on the finish creates the perfect balance.
E&J Gallo Family Vineyards Chardonnay is a medium-bodied Chardonnay with a pleasing range of unexpected flavor – citrus notes, hints of vanilla and a dash of oak.
Another Sonoma Coast releases is the 2016 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard. Quince, buttered citrus, white flowers, creamed corn, and some smoky minerality all define this layered, medium to full-bodied, ultra-pure Chardonnay that has acidity, concentration, and length. It's another gem and all these 2016s are a significant step up over the 2015s.
The crisp flavors of lemon and citrus make this an extremely versatile wine.
Planted nearly 40 years ago, ‘Trout Gulch’ sits 800 feet above sea level, just four miles away from the Pacific Ocean. Cool marine breezes and sandy loam soils keep grapes balanced and bright. This varietal Chardonnay is lively and bright, marked by notes of citrus, salt, stones, and orchard fruit.
A fresh white wine with light-medium body and wonderful citrus and pear flavors. This wine is a sterile, off-dry wine with no resemblance to any Chablis I have ever tasted. This 5 liter box possesses the statement "made with natural flavors," but I am unsure of what that signifies.
"A well-layered nose grudgingly reveals its aromas of both white and yellow orchard fruit, ample citrus and soft spice nuances that are framed but subtle but not invisible wood influence. Like the Blanchot there is excellent size, weight and muscle to the overtly powerful flavors that possess impressive depth and persistence on the sappy, balanced and harmonious finish. This is really very good and should age accordingly." - Allen Meadows, Burghound
