Bruno Colin Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot 2014
This is also relatively cool and restrained, particularly for Morgeot with its petrol, citrus and floral infused aromas. There is a bit more size and weight to the broad-shouldered but not rustic flavors that possess solid power, depth and persistence. The concentration is impressive yet the balance is faultless and this too is recommended.
Bruno Colin was more than just enthusiastic regarding the 2013 vintage exclaiming "I love this vintage! It has everything it needs to be admired by pretty much everyone as the wines have tension, body, seductiveness and they're incredibly refreshing where one sip invites another. The growing season wasn't easy but that doesn't always mean that the wines aren't excellent and even though we did have some mildew problems the harvest was clean. I think this is a terrific vintage and in both colors." Colin noted that he did a first bottling in September 2014 and then a second one in February 2015 for the upper level wines.
