Jean-Francois Roy has been making wines from Chateau de Valencay since 1989 and now has over 69 acres of vineyards in the villages of La Vernelle, Fontguenand, Meusnes, and Lye.

Beautiful crimson color. Inviting aromas of fresh, ripe boysenberry, blackberry, and plum. Secondary aromas of brown spice and fragrant vanilla add a layer of complexity. Full-bodied wine with intriguing flavors of juicy berries, blackcurrants, clove, and a slightly candied violet note.

This dessert wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Shiraz grapes. Selective hand harvesting brought only the finest clusters to the winery, where they underwent a three-day controlled cooling.
