Drei Dona Pruno 2013
Pruno is Drei Dona's "First Growth." It is born from the strictest selection from their family estate vineyards, according to the principles of sustainable agriculture. It spends 18 months in French oak casks and is bottled unfiltered to express the highest potential of the Predappio terroir, one of sangiovese's most ancient lands.
100% Sangiovese. The Drei Dona estate is located in the ancient Romagnan hills between the towns of Forlì, Castrocaro and Predappio. The 'La Palazza' farmhouse was built around a watchtower constructed by Caterina Sforza in 1481, in a strategic position on the gentle slopes of Massa di Vecchiazzano to defend her lands. Owned by the Drei Dona family for over a century, it has undergone a radical transformation under the present owner, Count Claudio Drei Dona.
