A precious Willett from the summer of 2022.The Willett Distilling Company or Kentucky Bourbon Distillers, as it is also known, is a small, family-owned company that produces labels such as Willett Pot Still Reserve, Willett Family Estate, Johnny Drum, Old Bardstown, Noah’s Mill, Rowan’s Creek, Pure Kentucky and Kentucky Vintage.
Defined by exuberant fruit, both red and black. Also shaped by familiar Jonata notes of smoked sausage, black pepper, and black plum skin. Fruit sweetness and power also mixed with fennel and Indian spices.
Dark plum color with a hue of crimson red. An opulent bouquet of blackberry, red currant, plum, and dark cherry fruit emerge from the glass. Blackcurrant, cherry, and spice intertwine for an exceptionally balanced palate.

“Madly sited”, perched high between two mountain ranges on a pass once a meeting point for cattle drovers on their way to market. The name Dalwhinnie translates from Gaelic as “Plain of Meetings”. Surviving periods of closure, the distillery has produced its distinctive single malt since 1947, only being completely modernized in 1996.
Domaine Jean Grivot is among the great names in Burgundian wine. Étienne Grivot and his wife Marielle took over from Étienne’s father Jean Grivot in 1987. The vineyards are densely planted and farmed organically “sans certification” while the aim in the cellar is for balance and clear expression of terroir.
Intrigu is only aged in stainless steel for 6 months, followed by 3 months in bottle, which allows for a transparent presentation of the grape. On the nose there are aromas of balsamic, clove, violets, and black pepper.
