The wine appeared in 1981 and is named after the artist Nikolai (Niko) Pirosmanashvili. The wine is made from Saperavi grapes. After 5-7 days of maceration, when the desired level of residual sugar is reached, the fermentation process is stopped by cooling and filtering the wine, thereby preserving its natural sweetness and freshness.
Armagnac is the oldest brandy (and liquor) recorded to be still distilled in the world. Markovic Estates keeps this tradition alive by sourcing the finest grapes from the Armagnac region in Gascony, southwest France.
The Avalon California Cabernet shows bright vibrant aromas of blueberry jam, strawberry tart, and boysenberries with hints of vanilla and toasted oak. A dash of Zinfandel give this wine a hint of spice that is followed by rich black cherries, red raspberries, and juicy ripe plums on the long smooth finish.
Dark garnet in the glass, this Cabernet Sauvignon displays aromas of vanilla, dark fruit flavors of blackberry and chocolate with hints of tar and tobacco notes. On the palate this wine has a lush, silky texture with hints of cherry and currant fruit, sage, and roasted fig.
Sourced from vines among Clos de Luz’s oldest vineyards, which makes them some of the oldest Malbec vines in Chile. Hand harvested in small crates for strict fruit selection. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, with pigeage every 2 days. Aged for 10-12 months in 225L and 300L French oak of different ages.
