The Dalla Valle wines from the 2011 vintage are an achievement. In many parts of Napa Valley, the season brought challenges, like cool temperatures, early rain, and a relatively late harvest. Dalla Valle's vineyard, perched several hundred feet above the valley, with its western exposure and rocky conditions, performed exceptionally well.
The harvest for the Langhe Nebbiolo DOC Schiavenza is carried out manually between the second half of September and the first of October. Rich, textured, racy and complex, the ’08 Rosso del Bepi wafts from the glass with an explosion of berries, cherries, and figs, all complemented by incense, tobacco, cigar wrapper, umami and earth.
