Overture is the second wine of Opus One. Aged in French oak, Overture is comprised of the five classic Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot.
Sourced from a single vineyard in San Benito county and fermented with 40% whole clusters. Look for cherry licorice and roses on the nose, followed by firm yet silky sweet tannins, leather, kirshvaser and cloves on the palate.
The bouquet of the North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon is bursting with dark fruits and roasted nuts, with aromas of fresh cherries, blackcurrant, rose petal, and roasted walnuts readily apparent in the glass.

While the Russian River Valley's unique climate contributes top notes of lime, chamomile, and tropical fruit, this lovely wine is overlaid with a bouquet of toasty vanilla and oak.

A nice beef bouillon aroma sets a meaty tone, accompanied by more genteel aromas of dried rose petals and blackcap raspberries. There's a nice balance between the restrained black cherry, black tea and lemon flavors, and the wine's modest acidity and tannins.
