Barkan Reserve Chardonnay is from the Barkan Winery, the second largest in Israel. It was founded in 1990, and its head winemaker is Ed Salzberg. The winery moved to Kibbutz Hulda near Rehovot in 2000.

A clear ruby red colour, this quietly magnificent Pinot Noir has a seductive, complex aroma of wild strawberry, redcurrant and fresh spice from whole bunches. The palate is medium-bodied, delicate, with great freshness and clarity of fruit expression allied to silky tannin.
Medium-high depth wine, ruby red colour with roof tile rim, which denotes its long barrel ageing and its peaceful bottle ageing. Powerful on the nose with primary aromas of ripe fruit accompanied by complex spicy and balsamic notes and a slight touch of vanilla.
The 2022 Blank Stare pours a bright pale gold with an enticing shimmer of jade. Opening aromatics pilfer from the glass as it pours — notes of key lime, Granny Smith apple and hints of grapefruit, white pepper, frangipani and minerality.
Slightly sweet and aromatic, full of tropical fruit aromas, with Muscat flavors folded into delicate, pleasant floral notes. The Muscat of Alexandria grapes arrived to the winery in the morning after being mechanically harvested.
Hand-harvested and sorted at the winery after harvest. Fermentation with native yeasts, Fermentation lasts 18 - 25 days for all wines. Aged in stainless steel tank for 18 months. Aged in bottle for 3 months before release. Age of vines: 60 years.
The eleventh vintage of this wine! Fenaughty Vineyard, at roughly 2800 feet elevation, is located in the Apple Hill District above Placerville, in El Dorado County. The soil at Fenaughty is Aiken-Loam, a dark-red, well-drained soil type of volcanic origin.
