Sal da Terra is comprised of wine from two of Eulogio’s own parcels. The first, Francón, is immediately adjacent to the Ría de Arousa which gives it direct Atlantic influence. The soils are sandy granite and red clay with 35-year-old vines trained on pergolas.
Inky bright-rimmed ruby. An exotically perfumed bouquet displays sexy black and blue fruit liqueur scents complicated by suggestions of potpourri vanilla and incense.
100% Tempranillo aged for three or four months in new barrels. Its short ageing adds complexity to the red fruits and liquorice aromas of this fresh Rioja. A tasty wine, rich in fruit, juicy with a sweet tannin structure. Grown in the most traditional wine producing area of La Rioja, enjoy on its own or with Lamb dishes and Iberian cured meats.
The wine displays complex, red berry aromas with smoky vanilla notes. On the palate, there's round, warm, and juicy spiced-red-cherry fruit with a velvety character, and ripe tannins are apparent as a firm but pliant structure.
Classic Rioja aromas of earthy berry, cassis and raisin along with cocoa and dry spice notes announce a ripe wine with complexity. A dense palate with good acidity sets the stage for baked berry, cassis and raisin flavors.
Rayos Uva is winemaker Olivier Rivière’s version of a Bourgogne Rouge, sourced from fruit grown in the sandy, gravelly, alluvial soils of the Rioja Baja sub-region in the eastern part of Rioja. This blend of Tempranillo, Graciano, and Garnacha is crafted to convey a brightly fruity version of Rioja unmarked by oak.
Mencia Roble stands out because of its strong fruity character bringing out all the characteristics of the Mencia grape variety. The time it spent in oak barrels accentuates these qualities by providing subtlety, elegance and complexity.
