A dry red made from 100% Listan Negro. After the 7 Fuentes ‘village’ wine, Suertes de Marques bottle six Vinos de Parcela, or single vineyard wines. Suertes del Marques is a family winery that has been producing wines since 2006.
Salbide is a local name meaning "Horses' Path." It refers to the ancient routes leading from the vineyards across the nearby Sierra de Cantabria mountain range. The same mountains protect the very old vineyards from the strong northerly winds and allow the juicy-red tempranillo grapes to ripen perfectly.
Deep purple/black color. Explosive aromas of ripe currant, red berries, and smoked notes. Rich, powerful, and voluminous on the attack. A huge mouthful of creme-de-cassis concentration.
A blend of 70% Monastrell and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 24 months in French and American oak. The wine exhibits a glass-coating opaque purple color. The nose is expressive with pain grille, underbrush, brier, minerality, blueberry and blackberry fruit.

2017 was a very challenging year, as most of their vineyards in San Vicente de la Sonsierra in Rioja were affected by frost, unlike others in nearby Laguardia. Not only was it frost, but they also had hail later on in the season.
