The 2006 Cab. Sauv. is dark ruby in color with aromas of black cherries, cola, cedar and spice, quite layered and complex. This wine has an extremely silky, velvety mouthfeel and flavors of black cherry, berry, and cassis. Hints of sweet toasty French oak add to the overall deliciousness of the wine. Its color is a full, deep ruby. The vibrant nose is rich in detail. The 2011 St. Eden is especially dark and brooding in this vintage. Inward and tightly wound, the 2011 nevertheless possesses gorgeous mid-palate density and finesse.
