Our Single Vineyard collection is inspired by the Herzog family's ongoing commitment to sourcing and prospecting new vineyards. The Dry Creek Valley appellation features ancient hills with rocky soil that drains exceptionally well helping to stress the vines late in the growing season, and concentrate the flavors of Cabernet Sauvignon. This single vineyard wine displays a rich velvet ruby color, with aromas of blackberry, cinnamon and spice. Bold flavors of black raspberry appear in the finish, with silky notes of vanilla.

The 2016 Abbey Ridge Chardonnay is produced from vines that have been growing for over 40 years in one of the highest-elevation vineyards in the Dundee Hills. The fruit for our 'AME' Cabernet Sauvignon comes from their Conn Valley ranch. This parcel is the northernmost and highest elevation block of vines on the property, and has been certified organic since 2009. It faces due south on a slope that in parts is 45 degrees. Learn More

For the first 15 years of Alban Vineyards, John couldn’t afford to keep more than 20% of the fruit he raised. Chardonnay was an easy sell and suited to a broad spectrum of soils.
