The nose is fruity, fresh, relatively fine and offers a fine concentration. It reveals notes of blackberry cream, plum and a hint of cassis jam associated with fine touches of chocolate, cardamom, a discreet hint of tea and a very fine / discreet hint of balsamic.
In the glass, this wine appears inky-black with a velvety core. On the nose, however, you are treated to the lightness of fresh violets, crushed blueberries, and cocoa.
Amazing aromas of blackcurrants, forest floors, dark tea and wet earth. Rose petals and leaves. Licorice undertones, too. Full-bodied, tight and precise with hazelnuts, rose petals and dark berries.

Elegantly textured and rich in flavor, 2008 Rubicon delivers pronounced black cherry and cassis impressions with aromas of blueberries, dark chocolate, licorice and spice. A fresh, ripe fruit entry and full-bodied palate with velvety tannins that linger into the finish.
