The Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes comes from an east-facing one hectare block of 43 year old vines at 270 meters altitude.

The lieux-dit, Chambertin is charged with prestige. Perhaps one of Burgundy's most aristocratic appellations and greatest terroir. The domaine purchased its parcel in 1919 and the goal has been always to show off the underlying terroir, creating soil-driven and absolutely pure wines harkening to an earlier era. There is an emphasis on pure red plum and black cherry fruit, notes of grilled meat, cocoa powder, lovely soil tones surrounded by a judicious framing of oak tannins.
Fourth-generation vigneron Bruno Colin is privileged to work some of the most prestigious sites in his home village of Chassagne-Montrachet. The house style could be described as a classical expression of these great climats, offering loads of Burgundian terroir with lovely texture, class, and precision.
Golden hue and exceptional purity. A very precise wine. Mineral backbone and good complexity. The first nose is dominated by aromas of white flowers and licorice. The palate is full-bodied, smooth and rich with a delicate acidity that gives it a lively finish. This wine offers excellent ageing potential. Discreet peppery and woody notes evolve. Puligny Montrachet Premier Cru "La Truffière" from Domaine Colin is produced in small quantities and has a beautiful upright character and a sublime mineral balance. The premier cru vineyards of La Truffière lie at the top of the hill looking out over the village of Puligny. This very fine wine has wonderful peach, pear and citrus notes, enhanced by a hint of floral, and a long lemony finish. If you haven't done so already, try it now!
