Broadbent Madeira Reserve 5 Years Old
Other Grape | Portugal
This Madeira Reserve is full bodied and rich with a mellowed, robust character and is also a splendid desssert wine. It was aged in oak casks for five years, then bottled on the island.
Tinta Negra. The Broadbent's are deeply rooted in Madeira. Michael Broadbent, as editor-in-chief, published the classic book "Madeira the Island Vineyard" and is considered the world's most experienced taster of Madeira wines. He went to the island to select the best wines for his Broadbent Madeira. This resulted in a collaboration with Justino's Madeira, the most important producer of classic Madeira. His son, Bartholomew Broadbent, has been credited with spearheading the revival of Madeira to America in 1987, long forgotten since Prohibition in 1920.
