This is extremely ripe and indeed reminds me more of cabernet than pinot with good detail and obvious minerality to the sweet, powerful and sappy flavors that offer real size and weight.

Concentrated and complex yet delicate and nuanced. Charming to drink in its fruit-driven youth, after time in the bottle it will reveal more complex notes of spice and game while maintaining its elegance.

Round and silky in the mouth, with a lingering sugary sweetness and a lively finish. 50% Grenache + 30% Cinsault + 15% Syrah + 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Golden, almost sandy pink in color.

The more limited cuvee, the 2007 Gigondas Terrasses des Dentelles, exhibits super precision, a terrific minerality that comes through the lavish amounts of black raspberry, blueberry, and spring flower characteristics, superb ripeness, a saturated ruby/purple color, full-bodied power, and admirable elegance, purity, and acidity.
