Vina Herminia Reserva 2011
Elegant and intense red-cherry color. Complex with an excellent balance between fruit and oak on the nose, with a creamy and tobacco background. Round and full palate with a long, unctuous aftertaste. The perfect companion for roasts, game stews, or red meats.
85% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha, 5% Graciano. The origin of Vinya Herminia dates back to the admiration that Mr. Joaquin Lagunilla Artacho professed for his wife, Mrs. Herminia Casas Madorran, who dedicated a vine named after her on his property in the municipality of Cenicero, La Rioja. In 1885, at only 20 years old, his father, Mr. Felipe Lagunilla San Martin, founded Bodegas Lagunilla. In 1927, Mr. Joaquin Lagunilla Artacho took over the winery. Under his leadership, he established labels such as Vallezarza, Valderrin and, Vinya Herminia in 1949, founded in honor of his wife. Finally at the end of the 90s, Grupo Caballero, also owners of Emilio Lustau S.A. in Jerez, decided to enter the world of La Rioja wines.
