A new world style red from Ribera del J'car, the 2006 Spain Vines Crianza shows plush, ripe red fruit and impressive structure. Aromas of freshly dipped chocolate-strawberries and tobacco are followed by a velvety mid-palate of boysenberry, currant and spices. The lengthy finish reveals subtle oak and a zing of racy acidity. A wonderful value, this wine drinks like many Crianzas at twice the price.
