Pago de los Capellanes Joven 2015
A deep, dark cherry-colored with extraordinary intensity and complexity. Blackberries and floral notes are detected first on the nose. The fruit is well-integrated with the wood, displaying spicy aromas from the French oak; cinnamon, leather, tobacco, truffle and black liquorice. Sweet, smooth tannins coat the palate and the mouth is full-bodied and persistant with an array of complex flavors.
Pago de los Capellanes is located 1 kilometre from the village of Pedrosa de Duero, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero region and is considered by some to be the modern face of Ribera Del Duero, providing a perfect counterpoint to the more traditional Vega Sicilia. It is owned by the Rodero-Villa family and they now have over 70 hectares of vineyards.
