The wine is clear and bright with a medium ruby color and presence of legs. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium intensity aromas of cedar, vanilla, chocolate, dark plums, dark cherries, licorice and anise.
Opaque ruby. Ripe dark berries, cherry pit and licorice on the spice-accented nose. Lush and appealingly sweet, offering juicy blackberry and cherry flavors that take on a smoky nuance with air. Closes spicy and long, with a hint of licorice and round, even tannins.
Incredibly floral and beautiful with dark berry, spice, cedar and mint. Chinese plums. Asian spices. Bark. Tea. Full body, dense and so soft and complex. The finish goes on for minutes. Endless and fine.
The bedrock is schistous: the same rock that underlies the Port vineyards of the Douro further downstream.
Quinta Milú La Cometa is a concentrated red wine with black fruit, toasted and balsamic notes. On the palate it is powerful, elegant and well structured.
Intense red-violet color. Very mineral nose with a lot of red fruit, mint and a peppermint background, very complex aromas in perfect harmony with the tertiary aromas of its long aging in the barrel.
