Muruve Joven 2008
Tempranillo (Tinta-del Pais, de Toro, Roriz, Tinto Fino) | Spain
Clean and brilliant, intense, vivid, finely layered, red morello cherry with bluish and purplish hues. Intense aromas reminiscent of green and ripe fruit of wild berries (mulberry, blackberry). Highly structured, full bodied, and fruity, the wine lingers at the back of the nose, leaving a pleasant tannic sensation. Recommended for meat dishes or roasts.
100% Tempranillo. Estate bottled by Bodegas Frutos Villar. Bodegas Frutos Villar began selling wine in Toro around the turn of the 20th century, though it wasn't until 1920 that the company established its first winery in the area. Muruve is a historic winery near the village of Toro, above the fabled Duero River.
