Winery
Chateau Monregard La Croix is a small, family-owned winery located in the Pomerol appellation of Bordeaux, France. The estate was founded in the 1920s by the Audy-Bourrotte family, and has been passed down through the generations ever since. The current owner is Jean-Baptiste Bourotte, who is the fifth generation of his family to run the winery.
The estate has a total of 1.3 hectares of vineyards, which are planted with Merlot grapes. The vines are grown on sandy clay soils, which are ideal for Merlot. The grapes are hand-harvested and vinified using traditional methods.
The wine is aged in a combination of new and used oak barrels for 20 months.
