Matiz Rioja
Tempranillo (Tinta-del Pais, de Toro, Roriz, Tinto Fino) | Spain
This scents somewhat like black-top and peanuts. It feels precise, with plum, berry and pepper flavors. The completion is hot, with drying tannins and an enduring verdant flavor.
Rioja in Northern Spain is best known for berry-scented, barrel-matured red wines produced using Tempranillo and Garnacha. It is seemingly Spain's top wine area. It is unquestionably the most acclaimed, matched just by Jerez. The vineyards follow the course of the Ebro River for approximately 100 kilometers (60 miles) between the towns of Haro and Alfaro.
