A powerful nose of ripe fruits, peppery spices, and the typical gamey note. The palate is very well balanced, with notes of licorice and black fruit. The tannins are well integrated and the flavors on the finish are rich, robust, mouth-filling, and balanced.

65% Grenache, 25% Mourvedre, 5% Syrah, 5% Cinsault. Bottled by EMB 84037 T (AKA Andrieux & Fils). The "Ribian Trail" is an ancient mule route. Today it simply separates two vineyards where the fruit for this Chateauneuf-du-Pape is sourced. The word "ribian" probably comes from the old Provencal word for ribbon, and is thus evocative of this pretty road winding through the vineyards.
