Heinz Eifel Kabinett 2014
The wine exudes flavors and aromas of ripe apples, pears, peaches, and citrus with floral aromas. Its slight sweetness makes it a perfect match with aged cheeses, chicken, or cream sauces.
Romanof is a modern and innovative winery located in Trittenheim on the Mosel River. The company was founded in 1979 and was acquired by estate owner Heinz Eifel in 1988. His family has been involved in viniculture for over many generations. This family tradition is now being continued by his daughter Anne Eifel-Spohr who has been active in the company since 2001. Romanof's philosophy is to provide a selection of quality wines to a broad customer base in Germany and overseas. Their ultimate aim is the satisfaction of their customers. Heinz Eifel Riesling Kabinett is made from very-ripe riesling grapes from the middle Mosel Valley of Germany. These grapes are allowed to hang longer, earning the designation of 'Kabinett,' because that is where these wines were stored for special occasions.
