Dr. Lippold Sparkling Riesling Dry 2011
This premium sparkling riesling is made from selected 2011 wines from the Moselle. It rested for six months on the lees with regular battonage and subsequently ample time in the bottle to mature to perfection.
A deja vu? Certainly! At the turn of the 20th century, sparkling riesling from the Moselle river valley was more esteemed in the United States than French champagne and legendary throughout the world. Sparkling rieslings triumphed at the world exhibitions: Philadelphia 1876, Melbourne 1880, and Paris 1900. The judges highly praised the firm, mineral, and complex elegance, fine effervescence, and the balanced style of these wines.
