Domaine Ehrhart Gewurztraminer Herrenweg 2012
Herrenweg, a combination of gravel mixed with sand, has excellent drainage and a warm micro-climate allowing maximum ripeness while always maintaining finesse and the balance of soil and fruit. The Gewurztraminer Herrenweg is rich with floral aromas, spice notes, and ripe exotic fruit flavors. Goes well with rich fish (salmon, tuna etc), spicy food, sweet desserts, poultry, mild and soft cheese
100% organic Gewuerztraminer. Domaine Ehrhart is a U.S. import brand of Robert Kacher Selections and Domaine Saint Remy (also known as Domaine Francois et Philippe Ehrhart), which was founded in 1725 in the small village of Wettolsheim. Today, Philippe and Corinne Ehrhart manage 60 acres of vineyards with the work done mostly by family members, including Philippe's father Francois and his son Florian. The Ehrhart family committed themselves to organic farming two generations ago and starting from the 2012 harvest, their wines are certified organic. As a result, their wines are made with great care and express the purity that comes from the utmost respect given to their vineyards.
