Featuring golden color, this wine offers an inviting aromatic palette of baking spices, flowers and tropical fruit. The flavors of this wine mirror the aromas. This Gewurztraminer is a full-bodied wine with rich, mouth-filling character that maintains its freshness and encourages another sip.
From his vines planted in limestone (Boland and Heimbourg crus of Turckheim), Boxler’s Réserve bottling always has great acidity and an ethereal quality that makes it one of the most noble bottlings of this grape in the world.
Anderson Valley, CA - Intense floral aromas of rose petal, gardenia and honeysuckle couple with the subtle perfumed spice notes of ginger and green tea. In the mouth the wine confirms its floral and spice character and shows zesty citrus and concentrated lychee-nut.
“The Brooklynites 3.0,” our third orange wine, is made from Gewurztraminer grapes grown in Los Carneros, Napa Valley. The orange hue of this wine comes from the skin contact and maceration during fermentation; the same process that gives red wine its color, tannins and also contributes to its flavor.
Boxler is widely considered one of the top producers in Alsace, although this small, meticulously run estate is often overshadowed by its larger, more famous neighbors (Trimbach, Humbrecht etc.). But that suits current winemaker/proprietor Jean Boxler just fine.
