Domaine D'Aigues Luberon 2017
Blend | France
Deep garnet color with purplish reflections. Intense and complex nose with aromas of wild fruits (blackberry) and pome fruits (fig). Mouth powerful and long offering silky tannins and a remarkable concentration.
This area is named after the country of Aigues, a zone naturally bounded by the Luberon to the north and the Durance to the south. "Aigues" is the French version of the Occitan term "aiga" which means "water". This vineyard thus has natural reserves of water allowing the grapes to reach their full phenolic maturity even during the driest years when the vine undergoes besides a significant water stress.
