Chateau de Chambrun 2008
Blend | France
Dark purple. Full bodied, rich, plummy red with deep, velvety textured tannins. Forward fruit with medium length.
94% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc. Silvio Denz, owner of nearby Chateau Faugeres in Saint-Emilion, bought the property in 2007 and expanded the original 4 acres to 17. Some of the oldest vines (50+ years) are next to the church of Neac, an extension of the dense clay-based Pomerol terroir.
