With cellars located in the charming, hilltop town of Sancerre, Jean-Laurent and Jean-Dominique Vacheron have vineyards in mainly the eastern part of Sancerre on hard, flinty soils as well as smaller holding on softer limestone and clay soils.
Pale light gold in color with slight greenish glints. Bright, luminous and limpid. The nose is full of sunshine, gaiety, beauty and maturity. A rich, splendid bouquet of a multitude of flowers. A basket of fruit on a fresh summers morning.
Chérisey may not yet be a household name, but if our crystal ball is correct, it’s only a matter of time. The juxtaposition of the delicacy and generosity of the old vine "La Pièce sous la bois" may require you to run to your nearest fainting couch. Puligny Montrachet Premier Cru "La Truffière" from Domaine Colin is produced in small quantities and has a beautiful upright character and a sublime mineral balance. The premier cru vineyards of La Truffière lie at the top of the hill looking out over the village of Puligny. This very fine wine has wonderful peach, pear and citrus notes, enhanced by a hint of floral, and a long lemony finish. If you haven't done so already, try it now!
With a nice pale yellow colour, our Mâcon-Lugny offers a nose of citrus, with grapefruit and green lemon notes. The mouth is ample and suave with yellow fruits, citrus and muscat aromas. Beautiful freshness on the finish.
