The Psagot Rose is a blend of red grape varietals. The grapes are harvested from vineyards located in the Northern Jerusalem Mountains at a height of 700 meters. The wine is a nice looking, very salmon colored, almost fading to a touch of brick color.
Growing Chardonnay grapes on clay and chalk-rich soil and 10 months of élevage in oak delivers a very appealing freshness, minerality and roundness. Its expressive nose exudes aromas of white fruits, white flowers, and dried fruits.
Wine making: Grapes harvested at optimum maturity, maceration and alcoholic fermentation for 15 days, then matured in concrete tanks for 10 to 12 months.
Nose: Smoke rises with a cloying sweetness. Intense, pungent and aromatic, a distinctive farmyard scent drifts, along with a crunchy aroma, like creosote or tarry rope. A splash of water disturbs the vapours and dark chocolate cream billows, laced with a ribbon of smoked artichoke.
Arak al Pasha is a 750 ml bottle of Israel made Kosher Arak. With an alcohol content of 45%, it is produced according to a slightly different formula than usual, and serves as a wonderful introduction to the Kawar family's Arak.
An evocative nose defined by true cassis and gorgeous dark green notes of licorice, dried herbs, and nori. Muscular, dense, and structured; everything cab should be. Manages to also be restrained with black fruit intertwined with dusty herbal notes.
Dark ruby center, with crimson reflections throughout. The nose is centered on smashed blackberries and plums, with a few blackcurrants and dried flowers in the backdrop.
Rounded and supple, full of dark raspberry and plum fruit, and lifted with floral notes make this a great value supper wine. It comes from a grand estate close to Carcassonne where the Château was built by the same architect as Versailles and where King Louis XIII left his travelling bed, possibly in the hope of a return visit.
